Why
do I need to Register?
All
Future Corporation software must be
registered before it will become fully
functional (unlocked). Be sure to have
your unique Customer Number available
which will be issued at time of
purchase. (16
digit number that commences with your
country's telephone code i.e. US/Canada
'01', UK '44', AUST '61' etc.) The
registration procedure also requires a number that is generated from your computer
after installing the software or from
running the CD. This number is a unique
'Computer ID Number' that when combined with your Customer Number produces a unique Registration Number. This Registration Number is then typed into a window on your computer which registers (unlocks)
the software. To
register any one of Future Corporation's
software products: 1. Obtain a
'Customer Number' from Future Corporation
(can only be done after the software is paid
for).

2. Decide which computer to register the
software on, and obtain that PC’s
'Computer ID Number'.
3. Using both the above numbers to obtain a
'Registration Number' by clicking on
Register.
Once a Registration Number has been obtained,
the software can be registered (unlocked). To do this, click on the
Help Menu of the software and then click
on 'Registration'. In the registration
window that comes up you will be
presented with your program status,
along with your Computer ID Number and
Transfer Code (where
applicable).
To register click on the Register button
and type in the Registration Number and
then on OK.
I have
installed Font Detective but the
'Search' button is Grayed Out?
Font Detective must be registered to
become fully functional - see Registration.
I
was using Font Detective but the the
'Search' button is Grayed Out now?
You've probably become un-registered - see
Re-Register.

I no longer have my original computer
that Font Detective was registered on,
what do I do now?
You'll need to fill in some paperwork
and explain what's happened and you may
also need to provide some documents to
verify any claim. We understand that
things go wrong and often out of your
control. However these can usually be
easily explained and verified - see written
forms, and also
'Duty of
Disclosure'
What happens if I have to reformat my
computer/hard disk drive (HDD)?
If you reformat your computer, your registration number will no longer be valid. You will need to be issued with a replacement
number. If you are having a third party repair your computer, you should read the
'Duty of
Disclosure' about
registrations. Click here for Detailed
Information.
I
want to sell my copy of Font Detective?
Under the 'End
User License Agreement' (EULA) you
may sell your copy and all interest in Font Detective
to a third party.
However you must advise us in writing
and sign a release form, otherwise the
purchaser will have no rights to their
purchase of Font Detective from you - see
written
forms.
Can I install my copy onto
multiple computers?
Yes. You can install Font Detective onto as many computers as you wish.
However only the computer that is registered will have access to
searching unless you purchase Site License/s for
those other computers you wish to search
fonts on.
What is a Site License?
A site license is the granting of an additional registration number for
Font Detective. Site licenses are usually half price, but do not come with an additional
CD or a Manual and can only be used at the same
premises as the full license or at the
home of the registered owner.
Do I have to purchase site licenses at the same time as the first copy?
No. You can decide to purchase additional site licenses as the need arises.
Why doesn't Font Detective need a dongle/block?
Font Detective uses a digital registration method, removing the need for a dongle/block. Each customer receives a registration number for their computer that unlocks all of
Font Detective's features.
Can I buy a Dongle/Hardware Block protected version of
Font Detective?
No. These devices are expensive and
generally unreliable. In the event of a
Dongle failure you would need to
purchase a replacement and then wait
anything up to a week for it to arrive.
whereas on-line registration can be done
in less than a minute 24/7/365.
