And when you combine this powerful machine with VinylMaster Pro you have a one Stop Sign Shop at your disposal. The FC2230 series are large-format flatbed cutting plotters with a variety of cutting area sizes, tool head configurations, and material hold-down systems. All models accept medium widths up to 40 inches and 2-pen models enable loading of one pen for drawing and another for cutting... The FC2230 series large-format cutting plotters are flatbed models that enable the operator to monitor the entire design and cutting result as they are being processed. The FC2230 series is well-suited for cutting thick and/or hard material that cannot be processed by friction-feed cutting plotters, and include media such as reflective film, foam sheet, cardboard, oil board, and sandblast resist rubber. The FC2230 also performs as a precision cutter for producing highly intricate vinyl signs and photo mask artworks. A variety of choices are available including three variations in the size of the cutting area, single or dual tool/pen heads, two cutting forces, and three material hold-down systems to best suit the applications and material stock size needs for various industry requirements. |

The Cutting ProTM cutting plotters are used in a wide variety of applications, from storefront signs to iron-on prints for customized T-shirts. Graphtec's grit-rolling cutting plotters are ideal for cutting signs and banners on high performance and intermediate cast and calendered vinyl film, fluorescent film, and thick vinyl film for illuminated displays. Typical applications are company logos for automobiles, storefront awnings, and banners for seminars and conferences. The plotting function can be used, particularly in combination with colorful wide-tip art pens, to produce place cards for in-store point-of-purchase displays and illustrations for posters and product packages. In addition to a wide variety of films, Graphtec's flatbed cutting plotters are ideal for cutting masking film for printing industry applications. They also handle rubber for sandblasting templates with ease. Once a design has been cut into a rubber masking sheet, the operator removes the cutouts as shown above. The resulting template is then used to cover the object to be sandblasted (like a stone marker; see photo at left). |

Three
material hold-down systems are available
for the FC2230 series; 1. Magnetic hold-down system provided on the MG models is the economical option for processing relatively thin and rigid material as material is held along the outer edges. 2. Electrostatic hold-down system provided on the ES models is the versatile and intermediate choice when relatively flexible sheets are included in the target material as it holds the entire material surface by static electricity. 3. Vacuum hold-down system found on the VC models is the ultimate option for processing thick and heavy material such as corrugated cardboard, card stock, or PVC sheet up to approximately 40mils. |

| User friendly control panel with a LCD display window provides intuitive setup and operation. Up to four application-specific user settings can be programmed via control panel for instantaneous recall and setup execution. The type of cutting blade/pen, cutting offset value, cutting/plotting speed, cutting pressure, and quality can be independently programmed in each of four user settings depending on the type of material and design. Once the desired user settings have been programmed, the on-board, non-volatile memory will maintain those settings, until they are reprogrammed, for single-key-stroke selection, thus minimizing setup time to enhance job productivity and flexibility. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

The
two pen/blade models (FC2232-) hold a
cutting blade and a plotting pen
simultaneously allowing the user to
toggle between plotting (drawing) and
cutting operation remotely. The FC2232
models are suitable for applications
where both cutting and plotting
operations are frequently required, such
as plotting marking lines and cutting
the marked material in garment pattern
production. The FC2232 also benefits
such applications that require test
plotting on paper prior to cutting the
valuable material for verification of
designs for minimizing production cost.
and accuracy The single pen/blade models
(FC2231-) are an economical choice for
applications where manual exchange of
tools (cutting blade or plotting pen) is
acceptable. Choice of maximum cutting force, 500g for the standard –N models and 1000g for the optional –T models, further broaden the compatibility of the FC2230 series with a variety of production needs. A broad range of cutting blades and compatible blade holder accessories are optionally available to accommodate the variety of material being processed.
